The funding ended and Farmers Market Flash closed shop in November of 2018. We hope to one day bring back the Farmers Market Flash Project. Until then, keep an eye out for a toolkit to learn more about the project and the activities that took place in Skagit County!

FARMERS MARKET FLASH
Skagit Valley Farmers Markets are hubs for community engagement. Abundant with fresh and local food, farmers markets can serve as facilitators of healthy habits for SNAP beneficiaries (formerly known as food stamps).
Farmers Market Flash took a holistic approach to improve quality of life, and promote farmers markets that are inclusive for EVERYONE, regardless of income. How did we do this? By coordinating education, outreach, promotion, and community engagement activities both in the community and at the farmers market! |
Our Mission
|
By promoting the inclusive nature and unique accessibility of locally grown, fresh foods available at the Farmers Market, Farmers Market Flash strove to encourage EBT eligible seniors and families with children to purchase produce at farmers markets in order to improve both social and nutritional health in ways unmatched by other food vendors.
